Here is a set of ads for the HP Retail Publishing group that I had the pleasure of working on and recently finishing during my busy days and nights working at Goodby, Silverstein and Partners. The idea was to create these little white environments that could house the HP products, an employee, and a set of modular illustrations running up the background wall that changed out for each ad.

Nice!! now I'm a new fan of HP. I use one of their product and i love it =) These awesome designs are made by "Lab Partners-Design And Illustration" Enjoy their other wonderful works in here

Fun Friday!!

This friday is a holiday (yey!!!) My cell group plan to have a little adventure to our City Monument and Museum (image above) Beside that, we will have a "Culinary Tour" at Kepanjen - a place where many delicious food gathered :P Hope this will be a fun day and it can make our fellowship stronger. Cant wait for the Day!!!

The Secret Of Kells

One of the nominee for this upcoming 2010 Academy Award, The Secret Of Kells. Like usual, the poster attract me to find more information about this movie. My first impression is this is another Hayao Miyazaki's animation (I'm a big fan of Ponyo and Spirited Away) but it's not. The Secret of Kells is an Irish animated feature film by Cartoon Saloon that premiered on February 8, 2009, at the Berlin International Film Festival. Quite long but i've just known about it's existence these days.The Synopsis

The story is set in the 9th century. Twelve-year-old Brendan is educated by his uncle, Abbot Cellach, who holds a firm grip on his nephew and expects him to follow in his footsteps. One day, Brendan meets Brother Aidan, a master illustrator who shows him the beauty of art and stimulates his creativity and fantasy. Finally, Brendan decides to break free in search of his dream: completing the valuable Book of Kells. On his journey through the forest, he has to face his biggest fears.The Secret Of Kells receives many positive reviews from the audiences including film critics. The fact that this movie has been selected as one of Academy Awards nominee makes The Secret Of Kells is worth to be watched. I love the illustration so much. In 1873 Horacio Spafford sent his family ahead of him to Europe, planning to join them later. But the ship carrying his wife and four daughters never made it to the U.K. After a collision with another ship, it sank, and Spafford’s four daughters with it. His wife survived. Spafford took a ship to France to meet his wife, and when they passed over the site of the shipwreck, the captain showed him the spot where his daughters lost their lives. As he stood, weeping, on the bridge of the ship, God led him to write the words to the classic hymn, “It Is Well With My Soul.” The opening lines still provide comfort today: “When peace like a river attendeth my way, when sorrow like sea billows roll, whatever my lot Thou hast taught me to say, it is well, it is well with my soul.”

Grief and heartache are real. But even in the middle of tragedy, when we accept God’s will and loving care, we can experience perfect peace.

After "Flywheel", "Facing the Giants" and "Fireproof", now we will get "Letters to God". I found the poster accidentally and somehow i know that this is a Christian Movie (yeah, the tittle speaks itself) The poster attracted me to know more about this movie. I visited the site and i was amazed by their professionalism. Inspired by a true story, “Letters to God” is an intimate, moving and often funny story about the galvanizing effect one child’s belief can have on his family, friends and community. Synopsis : Tyler Doherty is an extraordinary eight year-old boy. Surrounded by a loving family and community, and armed with the courage of his faith, he faces his daily battle against cancer with bravery and grace. To Tyler, God is a friend, a teacher and the ultimate pen pal—Tyler’s prayers take the form of letters, which he composes and mails on a daily basis. The letters find their way into the hands of Brady McDaniels, a beleaguered postman standing at a crossroads in his life. At first, he is confused and conflicted over what to do with the letters. But the decision he ultimately makes becomes a testament to the quiet power of one boy’s shining spirit and unshakeable faith.Even this movie is not produced by Hollywood, but they manage it's promotion well. You can see it from the poster and website. They really use what they have to make a movie that can glorify God's love. I admire them and it's motivating me to pursue my dream so someday i can make an inspiring movie like them =)
